A downloadable game

about the jam

Train Jam 2019 is a game jam that occurs that at 150 MPH (on average) on a train originating in Chicago, IL, and terminating in Emeryville, CA as a part of a journey to attend the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, CA.

jam post-mortem

Work on the project itself was largely stifled due to a variety of factors, of which the biggest hits can be attributed to the lack of power and lack of warmth. My charger was also uncooperative, opting to fail to charge my laptop unless placed in a vary special and precarious configuration.

Nonetheless, this project served as an opportunity for me to explore a new game engine, namely the Godot Engine (3.1)! Progress was slow (naturally) due to limited Internet access via hotspot and my inability to read Godot docs (partially because I failed to download them on hotel and train station WiFi).

For the reasons above, the project is not available for download since it would make no sense (and I haven't figured out how to export a build).
